David Lynch’s Hair Compared to Well-known Paintings

Published 4 years ago

San Francisco-based creative Jimmy Chen paired different David Lynch’s hairstyles with famous works or classic art, where the couples supposedly resemble one another. The witty grid is called “The Painting”, and features such pieces of art as Van Gogh’s “Starry Night” or Monet’s “Waterlillies”, married with the signature lynchian bouffant.

Jimmy’s explanation as to why he chose such project is simple: “I love hair, I love Lynch, I love art (sometimes).” His personal favorite couple is the one with the “Wave” by Hokusai, which “makes a big splash” for Jimmy. What a great example of contemporary culture and wit!
