Wild Animal Spirit Hand Drawn Illustrations By Katy Lipscomb

Published 8 years ago

A professor once told Katy Lipscomb, “When you decide to call yourself an artist, then you are an artist.” Lipscomb is a freelance illustrator living in Alpharetta, Georgia, who wants to share her art with the world. She uses Copic markers, a mix of faber Castell polychromos, Prismacolor and Derwent colorsoft colored pencils, and a Sakura jelly roll pen to create her wild spirit animal drawings.

Lipscomb has the following advice for budding artists: “listen to feedback, but to take it with a grain of salt” she told Bored Panda. “I am mostly referring to comments on the internet, comments from family, or comments from random strangers. This kind of feedback can be helpful, but it can also tear a person down…If you want to please everyone, art is the wrong profession.”
