The Magic Of Tokyo Streets At Night In Photos By Masashi Wakui

Published 8 years ago

Night time is fun time. For Masashi Wakui, it’s the time to get out and snap pictures of the nocturnal Japan. Camera in hand, he goes out into the darkened streets of Shibuya, Shinjyuku and other districts of Tokyo. What we get to see is narrow alleys and streets, so common to Japan, pushing back against the night with a myriad of lanterns, ads and restaurant signs.

Masashi Wakui uses high performance cameras to take the pictures, then adjusts the colors for the desired effect – though as I can tell from experience, it’s not far from the truth! If you want more pictures of street life in Japan, check out this post on Takashi Yasui. You can consider this post on nature in Fukushima!
