Paris-based artist Annastassia Elias (previously here) continues to amaze with her intricate toilet paper art, which she recently published as a book titled Rouleaux. Anastassia who usually works in the fields of painting and illustration started this unusual project a couple of years ago, and now it has almost become her signature.
“One day I looked at an empty roll and wondered if I can do something with it,” says the artist.
Each piece takes up to few hours to complete because of the small scale of the project.
“I use tweezers to manipulate the paper shapes. I select the paper of the same color as the roll. It gives the illusion that the paper figures make part of the roll,” says Elias. Check out some of her new creations below!
