20 Illustrations By Emily Duffin That Seem Like A Love Letter To Nature And Its Creatures

Emily’s journey into illustration is as inspiring as her art itself. She shared in an interview with Demilked “I was on maternity leave from my sales job when my fiancé passed away suddenly. It meant that I had to find a way to pay the bills while working from home and caring for my young daughter. What started as a ‘stop gap’ quickly turned into a full-time business.”

After sharing some of her illustrations on Instagram, Emily was approached by her growing audience to create pet portraits, and soon, she found herself illustrating every day. “I’m hugely influenced by my childhood, having grown up on a farm in rural Northamptonshire. I adore animals and nature, and I’m pleased to say my daughter, who is now 9, shares my passion. My work has evolved from pencil crayon to watercolor in the past few years, and I feel incredibly lucky to be able to call this my job.”
