Cartoonist Enhances Photos With Creatures From His Imagination

Brazilian illustrator, film-maker, photographer and a puppeteer on the side, Lucas Levitan has been working hard on his ongoing illustration series Photo Invasion. In it, he augments reality with fantastic creatures straight out of his imagination.

"Photo Invasion is my Instagram project. I hunt for images and add my illustrative touch," writes the London-based artist. Sometimes charming, sometimes creepy, these illustrations put a new spin on reality, reminding us a bit of that childish point of view when everything was weird and amazing.
