Children From All Over The World Pose With Their Favorite Toys In A Photo Series By Photographer Gabriele Galimberti (20 Pics)

Published 4 years ago

Toy Stories is a photography project started by Italian photographer Gabriele Galimberti back in 2012. In her project, the photographer captures children posing with their favorite toys, and throughout the years has photographed kids in over 50 countries around the globe.

In a recent interview with Bored Panda, the photographer said the whole project started almost by chance. “The first photo that I took for this series was in Tuscany, it’s the one with the girl and the cows in the background. She’s the daughter of one of my best friends. He asked me to photograph her, so I went to their house and she was playing with the cows. I thought that situation was really nice and so I decided to take a photo of that moment,” explained the photographer. “I asked her to pose together with her toys and with the cows in the background. Then I really loved the result and some months later, when I had the possibility to start my trip around the world, I decided to take the same kind of photo in every country that I was going to visit.”

Gabriele photographer most of the project back in 2012 and 2013 when she was traveling the world using CouchSurfing. She says that all of the children that she captured are somehow connected to the couchsurfers that have hosted her – they were either the hosts’ children, nephews or neighbors. The photographer eventually turned her project into a book titled Toy Stories: Photos of Children from Around the World and Their Favorite Things – you can check it out here!

Aušrys Uptas

One day, this guy just kind of figured - "I spend most of my time on the internet anyway, why not turn it into a profession?" - and he did! Now he not only gets to browse the latest cat videos and fresh memes every day but also shares them with people all over the world, making sure they stay up to date with everything that's trending on the web. Some things that always pique his interest are old technologies, literature and all sorts of odd vintage goodness. So if you find something that's too bizarre not to share, make sure to hit him up!

Got wisdom to pour?
