Florida-based artist Shannon Holt is a master of disguising human body under her unique body art paintings. In her series “Florida Wildlife Series,” her models became canvases for colorful animal portraits that took Holt from 6 to 12 hours to paint each.

“You hear a song once live — you have that one beautiful experience and then you have the remembrance of it with a recording,” Holt said to the Daytone Beach News-Journal. “Body painting is the same. It’s probably the closest art form to music there is."
Talking about the transience of her artworks, she added: “It’s here and then it’s gone. It’s kind of like ourselves — we’re here on the Earth and then we’re gone, and it’s beautiful.”
