Ever since the June 2016 referendum, the United Kingdom's decision to leave the European Union has been met with mixed reactions - some people praised the decision while others called it an economic suicide. Even though Brexit was supposed to happen back in March of 2017, it has been delayed numerous times due to disagreements within the UK parliament. This time, however, it's for real - almost four years have passed but on the 31st of January 2020, at 11 p.m. GMT, it finally happened - the UK left the EU. With this event, a new stage of Brexit begins - a transitional period that will last until the 31st of December 2020 during which the UK and the EU will have to negotiate a further trade deal. All of this sounds very serious but just like with every important world event, there are people who are trying to lighten everyone's mood by creating hilarious memes. And today we're all about that.
