Rémi Lascault is a French artist with a twisted sense of humor who has been creating dark comics with unexpected endings since 2017. During the years, the man amassed a following of over 60k people from all over the world, and if you're a fan of dark humor, I'm sure you'll join the ranks.
In a recent interview with Bored Panda, the artist says that for him, inspiration can come from almost anything - sometimes something as simple as a detail or an object he sees when he takes a walk can be enough. "Inspiration is a weird thing, it seems to come and go as it wishes! In terms of artists, I've been inspired a lot by Joan Cornellà or Gudim," explained Rémi. "But I'm also inspired by all the comic artists from whom I've read comics since I was a kid."

The artist says that even though his comics are mostly stupid, they can sometimes have a deeper feeling to them. "But whatever the idea I get, I try to have an interesting and unexpected twist to it. It can seem absurd at first, but it always has a kind of logical feel to it," said Rémi.

"Dark humor, and humor in general, is a way to be able to laugh about many things. We live and die in a world where we can't control many things, but we can at least laugh, and that's a good way to be happy!" says the artist.
