Esther González is a 31-year-old Spanish artist who started drawing comics a year ago after she realized that an office job isn't for her. The artist says she had been interested in drawing from a young age, always copying animals and drawings she found fascinating.

Esther González is a 31-year-old Spanish artist who started drawing comics a year ago after she realized that an office job isn't for her. The artist says she had been interested in drawing from a young age, always copying animals and drawings she found fascinating.
In an interview with Bored Panda Esther said she started taking comics more seriously after discovering Calvin and Hobbes at the age of 11. "When I saw these comics for the first time, I was in the dentist's waiting room. There were lots of them and this made going there more fun. I should also confess that I was the one who ripped all of these comics out of the magazines. Haha, sorry. At least I still have and love them," shared the artist.
Her comics are inspired by her own daily life, films, cartoons, and other comics. Esther says she loves telling stories and provoking reactions and creating comics is a new world of possibilities for her. "The best thing is being able to spread your ideas and messages and see that they make someone smile," says the artist. She also draws all her comics by hand on paper and only uses Photoshop to correct errors and add colors.
