Game of Thrones Inspired ‘Stained Glass Windows’ Transform Office Space into Westeros!
Using an empty meeting room, the senior staff at Viking recruited a secret group of employees to build a Westeros-inspired space, as a way of saying thank you for all of the company’s recent hard work.
As a main feature of the room, the team designed 20 acetate ‘stained glass’ windows, made up of 60 separate panels. We started out by designing the windows based on our favorite moments from the show, as well as the sigils from the major houses.
These were hand-painted first and then scanned into a computer and digitally colored. The windows were individually made to measure and printed on acetate to create a ‘stained glass’ effect.
Other features include a cardboard Iron Throne, a three-eyed raven, golden dragon eggs made from over 2,500 push pins, and even Ned’s head.
Once we had invited the other employees to experience our creation, the room officially became Westeros!
