In the past years, most of the photos we see on social media have gotten so fake, the line between reality and fiction became so blurred, you can hardly see it any more. Two supposedly Chinese influencers recently revealed just how much editing goes into producing the perfect social media photo. They posted pictures of themselves with and without filters, and they’ll make you realize that photoshopping no longer means blurring out freckles or hiding a pimple.

The photos originally went viral in China but were eventually posted to Faceebook by Jevin Cheng, aka Ex Treme, where they got over 18k shares and nearly 6k likes. Not only that, over 11k people commented on the post and many simply couldn’t believe their eyes, and, honestly, it’s not hard to see why.
