15 Wonderful Photos Of Same-Sex Weddings To Celebrate The Hard-Won Right To Marry

It's June, and that means it's the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Pride Month. Celebrate it with these happy pictures of LGBT weddings! Nineteen countries around the world allow same sex marriages, as do several states in USA and Mexico, and at least three more countries are currently hard at work towards the legalization of the act. This is a monumental joy to millions of people who struggled for it for years on end.

LGBT Pride Month is celebrated each year to honor the 1969 Stonewall riots in Manhattan. They happened as the police were trying to shake down one of the few hotels where members of the LGBT community were accepted.

By the way, the official US LGBT history month is October, and it coincides with October 11, the “Coming out day”.
