Former President Barack Obama's tweet following the attack in Charlottesville, Virginia, is now the most liked tweet in the history of the social network.
Obama tweeted a quote from Nelson Mandela's 1994 autobiography "Long Walk to Freedom". "No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin or his background or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite," it said.
The phrase was split into three tweets, and the first one included a photo of Obama greeting a group of children through a window taken by photographer Pete Souza. The tweet has been liked more than 3 million times, making it the number-one-liked of all time, and surpassing Ariana Grande's response to the attack at her concert in Manchester, England, in May.
