100 Years Project: Photographer Captures Portraits Of People From 1 To 100 Years Of Age

Russia is a strange land, and a very big land. Keen Heick-Abildhauge lived there for some time and wanted to show its people to the world. Thus One Hundred Years "The Russian Portrait" project was born. A hundred pictures of Russians aged 1 to 100 tells a shifting story of dreams and images. As the author wrote on Bored Panda: "I wanted to share the diversity and beauty I am experiencing and I wanted to share the wonderful stories that Russian people think and dream about. I wanted to tell the stories that are not told when you are just passing by people on the street or sitting next to them at a cafe." In the course of the project, he met 230 people and shot their portraits while they shared their dreams. It is an interesting tapestry of faces and feelings, showing not how the Russian people live, but what dreams they have, and how those change with age. Well, one of Russians was a little too young to share, but I think Keen still managed to get a decent impression.
