PET plastic bottles are everywhere – in fact, you might even be holding one right now! Veronika Richterová from Czech Republic is fascinated with them – enough to make sculptures out of the stuff! As a form of recycling, the ubiquitous PET plastic bottles are turned into animals and plants. Apparently, a green bottle can be made into a mean plastic cactus. But the work doesn’t end there – some bottles are meticulously shaped to become something fascinating, like a crocodile or a bunch of bats. Veronika Richterová states to have been interested in PET bottles from an early age, and it shows. Her website hosts a comprehensive article on the rise of the PET bottle, its many uses, virtues and flaws, recycling, and so forth. She is also collecting PET bottles from around the world.
