Every year Smithsonian magazine announces a photo contest, and 2017 was no exception, with 48,000 submissions from photographers in 155 countries and territories, this annual contest has gifted us breathtaking pictures from six different categories: Travel, Altered Images, Mobile, Natural World, People, and The American Experience.
There is still some time to vote for your favorite work, you can vote here until March 26. Tuesday, March 27 is the day when Smithsonian will announce the winner of the Grand Prize, and he/she will receive 2.500$. On this day a new 16th Annual Photo Contest will be announced as well.
