Photographer Captures Unique Portraits Of Cats In Standing Postures (15 Pics)

The Swiss photographer Alexis Reynaud has been capturing amazing shots for around 15 years now. "I did lots of commercial, then mostly artistic works with more than 60 exhibitions in Europe and Asia," he tells DeMilked.
The talented photographer has recently created a portrait series of 'standing cats' which has been gaining lots of popularity on the internet. "My own cat inspired me for that series, then I asked some friends, and friends of friends opened their doors to photograph their cats," reveals Alexis.
Talking about his shooting process, the photographer says, "Each cat has been photographed in the house of their owners, so I installed the same setup in the owner's apartments or houses and we do the shooting. The set up must be strictly identical so that the series gives the impression that all the cats have been photographed at once, but it took me several weeks to make it."
Alexis further elaborates that he doesn't use photoshop to make cats appear as if they are standing on two legs. He says, "There is no photoshop, everything is done using studio flashes and a black background. Yes, there is a little "trick" but I keep it secret, and it is done during the shoot, not in post production :)"
The photographer also mentioned, "I love cats and animals in general and at no time was one of the cats forced to take the photos. The owners were always with me during the shoots."
