After months of “beta-testing” and a successful trial on the market this revolutionary new design is now being officially launched by Hampstead based design duo Elle Halley and Nico Nardone from Modernico Ltd. The name of this product is simply “Ta-bl”
“We were inspired by a vintage piece, that had universal appeal, functional design and was perfect for the needs of compact modern living” Nico Nardone.
The idea behind Modernico’s designs to create products that are both beautiful and work in modern lifestyles that are often limited by space, time and yes, sadly money.
Ta-bl is a folding side table with a fresh contemporary twist, it folds into the smallest object d’art and comes with its own storage bag. “We wanted to create a product at a very accessible price that would be endlessly useful and look good in any home”. Elle Halley
Priced at a comfortable £99 it comes in four colour ways: Blank (white) Naked (oiled oak) Acid and Ink. The legs on all the Ta-bl are oiled solid oak.
“We plan to add more colours each season, to create the perfect accent piece and are looking into producing limited edition designer collaborations”. Elle Halley.
The storage bag means the Ta-bl can be hung, or stashed away with ease when not in use and can be transported with ease. It will easily fit behind the sofa, in the wardrobe or under-stairs cupboard.
There are endless uses around the home, bedside or sofa side or an extra place for drinks and nibbles. The Ta-bl is also perfect for picnics, camping and drinks on terrace and is also proving popular with the events and hospitality industries.

“It’s been a real challenge to keep the cost down and the quality up and to make sure we have enough stock to fulfil orders immediately but we feel it is core to our brand philosophy so we weren’t prepared to compromise” Nico Nardone
