This Is How Famous Places Might Look Like In 2050 When The Global Temperature Rises By 3°C (20 Pics)

Published 3 years ago

Global warming is not an unfamiliar term anymore. Almost everybody on this planet has heard of the phenomenon but very few people take it seriously and take any action to prevent the long-term heating of Earth’s climate system. Some folks just prefer to live in denial but that won’t stop the glaciers from melting.

The rise in average global temperature will melt the ice caps and eventually lead to a rise in water levels all around the world. The researchers at Climate Central created a project in which they took some famous places and showed how they will look in 2050 if the temperature gets 3°C higher than today. In just 30 years, most of our civilization might get lost or drowned underwater. Scroll below to see some hypothetical images created by researchers at Climate Central.
