Illustrator Draws Tokyo Street Scenes On Paper Cups
When I was still in school, I used to hang out at local coffee shops with my friends. One day I noticed how plain the paper cup was. Naturally, I was inspired to draw what was in front of me.
Tokyo artist Mariya Suzuki has found a unique way to capture the busy life of Japan's capital by doodling the scenes in front of her on paper cups.
She calls it ‘Drawing to Go’ and as she explained to the guys at Spoon & Tamago: “When I was still in school, I used to hang out at local coffee shops with my friends. One day I noticed how plain the paper cup was. Naturally, I was inspired to draw what was in front of me.”
And we're glad she did because her doodles are now inspiring other artists from around the globe to try out more creative canvases for their art.
