Artist Combines Disney And Greek Mythology To Create A Beautiful Forbidden Love Story
Gabriel Picolo is a Brazilian artist who has created a beautiful love story between Icarus and the sun. “Inspired by Icarus, who dared to fly too near the sun on wings of feathers and wax. If he was in love with the sun, then this might as well be a story of forbidden love.”
Picolo is a traditional and digital illustrator, he has started gaining attention with his 365 days project of drawing every day. “For my drawings, I take inspiration from Studio Ghibli, Disney, video games among other stuff,” the artist wrote on his Patreon. “I love to draw something that is relatable to me and other people as well.” This beautiful love story is mainly inspired by a famous myth of a man named Icarus who dared to fly too close to the sun, he died by burning his wings made from feathers and wax.
