Italian Design Studio Creates An Electric Vehicle Concept Inspired By The Fiat 126

Published 4 years ago

The Fiat 126 was a tiny Italian passenger car first introduced at the 1972 Turin Auto Show as a replacement for the older 500 model. There were over 4.6 million units built throughout the model’s 28-year production run, and the car even became somewhat of a cultural icon in Poland, where you can still occasionally see the model used in all parts of the country even to this day. Recently, Italian design studio MA-DE decided to refresh the old design by creating an electric car concept based on the 126 model called Fiat 126 Vision.

“In this new concept the 126 does not lose its identity, but rather it is strengthened,” writes the design studio.

MA-DE writes that with the 126 Vision they decided to adopt a new interpretation while preserving the stylistic elements of the old model, such as the roof tapered at the rear and the squared headlights.

Honda recently did something similar by introducing a retro-looking electric vehicle based on the first generation Civic, called the Honda e.

One day, this guy just kind of figured - "I spend most of my time on the internet anyway, why not turn it into a profession?" - and he did! Now he not only gets to browse the latest cat videos and fresh memes every day but also shares them with people all over the world, making sure they stay up to date with everything that's trending on the web. Some things that always pique his interest are old technologies, literature and all sorts of odd vintage goodness. So if you find something that's too bizarre not to share, make sure to hit him up!

Got wisdom to pour?
