This Artist Mends Shattered Vessels By Using Rusted Wires and Scissors (20 Pics)

Published 6 months ago

Glen Martin Taylor, an artist based in Ohio, USA, has been creating beautiful porcelain sculptures for about 8 years. In his unique artworks, he breaks his own pottery and antique ceramics and then “mends” them with materials that have a deep connection to his past and pain.

In a note to DeMilked, the artist said, “The Japanese art of Kintsugi has inspired me to express the feeling of the brokenness of humans that so many people are feeling right now, including me.”

“The process is therapeutic and healing. When my work touches other broken people it connects a circle of healing for me,” he added. Check out some of his wonderful works in the gallery below.
