Stacked Stone Garden Spheres By Devin Devine

Published 8 years ago

Can you believe that no glue or concrete was used to build these garden sculptures? Once built, these mystical stone sphere statues support their own weight and more. It’s all made possible with clever planning and the meticulous building process of Devin Devine.

The Pennsylvania-based stone artist carefully stacks the dry stones on top of each other until they form these amazing spheres. It is a carefully calculated process, as the artist says that the trickiest part is halfway through because the right “flow” is needed to make a sphere that won’t crumble down easily.

Besides stone spheres, the artist also does walkways, benches, patios and basically anything that is made of stone and looks awesome in the garden.

See what other surreal stuff can be made out of stone.
