Hand-Drawn Winged Scarves Will Turn You Into A Bird

Published 9 years ago

Icarus thought that he could fly if he only had wings like a bird. We know that wouldn’t work, but we can definitely wear some fancy scarves that make us look like birds. Enter Roza Khamitova and her nigh-ethereal textile wonders. Her scarves, shawls and wraps are fraught with intricate detail and look weightless. You can find them on the artist’s Etsy store.

Long before she started making these Birdman-cosplay suits, Roza Khamitova was born in Kazachstan. A while later she finished her studies in Manhattan and went on to work in fashion industry for 8 years. Now, she’s based in Byron Bay, Australia, and runs her own Etsy store called ‘Shovava‘.
