11 Colourful Artworks Of Wind-Blown Dogs By Young Lee
Young Lee paints dogs and sheep poised calmly against vibrant landscapes of nature, chaotically responding to the wind. The colours, lines, and brushstrokes imply motion and life whipping around a serene subject unpeturbed by the buffeting tempest. The artist uses layered paint on the canvas, mimicking emotions that slowly accumulate over time. She explained, “As the layers deepen, time passes gently, and I find myself quietly present within that stillness.”
Young Lee began drawing professionally five years ago. She is drawn to emulating nature in her paintings as more than just a motif, because it reflects the world we live in. Her fascination with the ever-changing flow and rhythm of being alive is expressed in her work through her blending of colours and shifting forms. She explains her attempts to create the feeling of passing time, “Through the blending of colours and the shifting of forms, I try to capture the passage of time. Sometimes multiple seasons coexist within a single scene, while other times, one moment stands clearly on its own. Time may move quickly or unfold slowly and gracefully, mirroring the rhythms we experience in life.”

Lee explained in a statement about her work, “The figures that emerge in my work might be reflections of myself, fragments of others, or imagined beings. They stand alone in vast fields, face the force of the wind, or pause to rest and gather strength before moving forward again.”
She further elaborated, “My art is a quiet journey, following the natural flow of both the outer world and the inner self. As we move through life, we navigate unseen currents of thought and feeling, each searching for a rhythm that is uniquely our own. Whether gentle or intense, every moment carries its own quiet beauty”.
“I hope viewers will feel the living presence of nature in the softness of grass, the bloom of a flower, the breath of trees, or the hush of falling snow. Within that stillness, perhaps they will discover a reflection of someone familiar — someone they connect with, someone they’ve been quietly hoping to find.”
