Romanian Photographer Travels 37 Countries To Take Pictures Of Women and Show That Beauty Is Everywhere
Mihaela Noroc of Romania decided to travel the world (on the cheap) and create an Atlas of Beauty to see how beauty looks around the world. Her photo series shows a wide variety of beautiful women in their environment and clothing of choice. The result is more impressive and beautiful than any Miss Universe pageant.
“Global trends make us look and behave the same, but we are all beautiful because we are different.” she writes on Bored Panda. “In the end, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and the beholder is always somebody else. My goal is to continue and take photos of women from each country of the globe, making ‘The Atlas Of Beauty’ a mirror of our diverse societies and an inspiration for people that try to remain authentic.”
And there’s the point: following fashion trends isn’t a must for beauty and dressing to reflect your culture isn’t a sin. In a sense, it’s about remaining true to your cultural roots and not sacrificing everything to the cold and uncaring fashion gods of Paris or New York.

It’s great to see yet another collection of international beauty, because no matter what country you’re from, non-beautiful women are unimportant and should be ignored or kept invisible. It must take a lot of talent to make a beautiful picture of a beautiful woman. Good job ;)
I think it does take talent to take beautiful pictures of beautiful women… I’ve seen bad pictures of beautiful girls before. Photography is an art and I love the way he combined lighting and chose certain locations to capture these women.

I have a feeling that these are all the photographer’s idea of beauty and not the local ideal. Don’t you think that they all have a similar face shape and body type? I’d like to know what Mihaela thinks.

Indeed, I couldn’t find any characteristics except they are from different races. I was hoping to see specific characteristics but feeling like just found the beauty perception of globalisation.

Moscow, RU and New York, US women are definitely not typical beauties for these territories. The first one reminds me more of a Baltic girl and the second one is a Jewish girl from Israel.
First one reminds u baltic girl??? U mean Estonia, Latvia & Lithuania?? Here u can see Baltic girls(Latvia, Lithuania) U must be blind or something! We have most beautiful girls in the World!
I think with “the first one” she meant the girl form Moscow. She reminds, really.
If you really want to hold the Estonian flag up high, mind your manners. For instance, read the whole comment before replying. Orthography would be nice. Also, you would do well to scrap the last ‘n’ from your username. This, too, falls into orthography. Post a link to a photo you would think would complement this set well with an Estonian woman.
