20 Times Odeith Created 3D Murals That Look Like They’re About To Jump Out At You
At first glance, you’ll swear these are real objects: an old bus parked in an alley, a huge parrot, maybe even a giant insect crawling up a wall. But look again. These mind-bending illusions are actually 3D murals by Portuguese street artist Odeith, and they’re so realistic they’ll make you do a double-take.
Odeith began his journey in the ‘90s, sketching on street walls and train tracks as realistic art started gaining ground in Portugal. Over the years, he leveled up to massive murals using a technique he calls “anamorphic art,” Odeith transforms flat walls and dull urban corners into jaw-dropping masterpieces that seem to pop right out of their surroundings. With perfect shading, perspective, and incredible detail, he creates the illusion of depth where there is none.
From abandoned buildings to concrete blocks, Odeith finds beauty in unexpected places and then turns them into optical illusions that mess with your brain. Scroll on to see some of his most stunning works.
