French artist Christophe Guinet, also known as Monsieur Plant, brings together plants and everyday objects to blur the line between the natural and the man-made. From sneakers overtaken by roots to sculptural forms shaped by living greenery, his installations feel both playful and quietly subversive.
Guinet says that his artistic direction took shape after traveling to India, explaining, “The idea came to me after returning from a journey in India… it was a way to get fresh ideas… After returning, I needed several weeks before getting back to my current life. It is there that Monsieur Plant was born.” This collection of sculptures and installations highlights how his work invites us to rethink consumer culture and notice how effortlessly nature reclaims what we consider ordinary.
