Abandoned asylums are a favored location for scary movies. But for photographer Jeremy Harris, they're fascinating.
He goes around abandoned mental hospitals, some dating back to 19th century, and photographs their decaying insides. It's not all peeling painting and cracked windows: Harris also documents scratches on the walls and various “artifacts”, like toothbrushes with embossed plastic name tags, that were left behind.
