Japanese artist Chamu, known online as @okame_amimono, has been delighting the internet with her unique art form called “Amigurume”—a playful blend of “amigurumi” (the Japanese art of crocheting small creatures) and gourmet cuisine. Chamu transforms colourful yarn into stunningly detailed dishes such as udon, ramen, sushi, gyoza, and omurice.
But her creations are more than just charming replicas. With impressive craftsmanship, Chamu turns noodles into shoulder bags, sushi into coin cases, and fluffy omelette rice into practical pouches. Each piece captures the essence of these popular Japanese foods, blending whimsical artistry with functionality.
