This Woman Was Nervous About Her Photoshoot With Fiancé Until The Photos Went Online And Won The Internet

Published 6 years ago

In the sea of photos depicting models that fit the universally pushed beauty standards, we find ourselves scrolling through a ton of similar images that seem to have dehumanized the people in them. So when we stumbled upon this couple’s photoshoot, we knew right away that we’re on to something unique.

Stephanie and Arryn’s photoshoot carried out by Bria Terry, of Wolf & Rose Photography, has evoked a huge response online when published on photographer’s social page. And while we’re used to the internet being a hostile environment, where critique is usually the first response, this series had a surprisingly positive reception.

Stephanie had self-esteem issues since she was in school: “I remember being in junior high and looking at myself in the mirror, wondering why my stomach wasn’t the way it was ‘supposed’ to be,” she told HuffPost. “Over the years, I’ve come to accept that I am always going to be considered plus-size.” But this shoot gave her an opportunity to finally face that public scrutiny, and see what comes out of it. “I honestly have never felt more attractive,” was her reaction when first seeing the album. “I was shocked. I look so in love and confident. Every person should be able to see themselves in that light. It is really eye-opening.”
