Czech Artist Uses Everyday Objects To Create Fun Illustrations
When a pen and a triangular ruler combine, they make the best bomber available to children. Mr. Kriss here uses everyday objects like that in his drawings. It’s the childlike imagination that we lost growing up. To Mr. Kriss, a key can be the jousting spear of a knight. Or a feather that can be the mane and horn of a unicorn. Well, I used imagine a TV remote as an airborne mothership, but no drawings survive.
Mr. Kriss, or Kristian Mensa, is an artist based in Prague, Czech Republic. His work is “focused on creative work with objects that we usually see less interesting that they might appear.” Mensa not only draws – he’s also a dancer, a piano player and a skilled actor.
A man of so many talents should definitely get into MENSA.
