20 Dark Humor Comics With Unexpected Twists (New Pics)

Published 3 years ago

The Instagram page “Dogs on the 4th” is a storehouse of entertaining dark comics. The creator of the Instagram page, Elliot Fairweather writes in his description: “I make horribly wonderful comics because I love you.” His comics are indeed horrible as well as wonderful. With dirty humor and dark twists, his illustrations are weirdly funny. However, it might not be everybody’s cup of tea.

Elliot chooses a variety of topics for his comics and wraps them with dark or dirty undertones. In a recent interview with Bored Panda, Elliot explained “I cover virtually every topic, But I generally try to avoid current events as by the time pen hits the paper it’s likely the jokes already been done a hundred times.”

Elliot worked in the corporate sector earlier but he got bored and started following his passion for creating fun and out-of-the-box comics. Now he has become an inspiration for aspiring artists. As he explained in an interview with Bored Panda, “I started casually creating comic strips a couple of years ago. As a corporate middle manager of little note, I’m someone who grew up and got boring. Writing and drawing Dogs on the 4th helps give me a much-needed outlet.”

When asked about the struggles he encounters while creating these comics, Elliot said, “The hardest part of creating for me is finding the time to create. Between work, family, and expired car registrations life sometimes gets in the way of planned silliness.”

His motivation comes from bringing joy to people’s lives. In a previous interview with Bored Panda, Elliot said, “The best compliments I’ve ever received without exception are being told that someone was having a bad day and needed the chuckle. I’ve received awesome feedback, and it really encourages me to keep going.”

Elliot also shared a piece of advice for young artists and content creators- “My best advice to any content creators is to write every idea down as it comes up. 90% of it may be terrible, but in the remaining crumbs, you’ll find some tasty cookies. I feel like that reads gross.. whatever, I’m keeping it.”
