Timeless Nursery Furniture Designed To Be Passed Down For Future Generations

Published 7 years ago

Bunny & Clyde came about when three of four friends fell pregnant virtually simultaneously and the prospect of new babies tickled our imaginations.’

The imaginations in question are those of sisters Nathalie Vos and Lisa Vos, and Mariëtte Bergh. Together, the women of various backgrounds in art and design disciplines, have come up with a timeless nursery furniture design, meant to serve generations upon generations of their families.

‘With the excitement of becoming mommies to our own brood we soon realised that we didn’t particularly like the nursery furniture on offer coupled with the facts that most of what we found available on the market was mass-produced, generic in appearance, and exclusively for use within the nursery,’ they explain on their website. ‘We wanted to design a timeless and versatile range so that the initial investment is in your baby’s room, but ultimately, you are left with pieces that would look great in any room of the house.’

They hope to bring back the mindset of making the furniture which lasts: ‘Our use of honest, raw materials, craftsmanship, and manufacturing techniques, allow us to make a return to traditions that are being swept aside by industry,’ which seems like a great idea not only in the context of sustainability but also within the topic of furniture that tells a story.
