This Artist Illustrates Unusual Animal Facts In Funny Comics (10 Pics)

Published 4 years ago

Zoodraws is an adorable comic strip started by Oneonta, NY-based artist Brian Ahearn earlier this year. Recently, the artist has set out to illustrate some lesser known animal facts in relatable ways, such as using Scarface references, and the results turned out absolutely hilarious.

Brian says he viewed wildlife through an empathetic lens ever since he was a kid. “Just knowing that a mother wolf spider carries her hundreds of spider babies on her back… everywhere she goes…for WEEKS. Somebody buy that Mama a drink!” joked the artist. “Or how unfair is it that a group of crows is called a “MURDER”? Who even decided that? It’s bad PR and they deserve better.”

The artist says that his favorite thing about working on Zoodraws is the amount of new knowledge he gains when researching an animal. “Seeing so many readers all around the globe express the same sentiment, while having a good laugh, makes me happy,” says Brian.

One day, this guy just kind of figured - "I spend most of my time on the internet anyway, why not turn it into a profession?" - and he did! Now he not only gets to browse the latest cat videos and fresh memes every day but also shares them with people all over the world, making sure they stay up to date with everything that's trending on the web. Some things that always pique his interest are old technologies, literature and all sorts of odd vintage goodness. So if you find something that's too bizarre not to share, make sure to hit him up!

Got wisdom to pour?
