Italian Artist Daniela Forti Creates Mesmerizing Glass Tables That Look Like Jellyfish

Published 4 years ago

Daniela Forti is an Italian artist based in Chianti, Tuscany who has been creating incredible pieces of glass art for the past 40 years. The artist uses a glass-fusion technique to create mesmerizing ‘Jellyfish’ tables that look like exotic sea creatures you would find in the depths of the ocean.

In her bio, Daniela states that she was always attracted to the transformation of various glass working techniques and concentrated on the fusion of glass and crystal, eventually developing and implementing her own interpretation of the materials. Creating glass art the way the artist does is a long and difficult process. Firstly, the glass has to be heated to temperatures ranging between 800 to 850°C (1472 – 1562 °F) to achieve a fluid state, then it is melded and weaved to achieve intricate and beautiful shapes.

Each one of Daniela’s sculptures is one-of-a-kind, and absolutely breathtaking – check some of them out in the gallery below!

One day, this guy just kind of figured - "I spend most of my time on the internet anyway, why not turn it into a profession?" - and he did! Now he not only gets to browse the latest cat videos and fresh memes every day but also shares them with people all over the world, making sure they stay up to date with everything that's trending on the web. Some things that always pique his interest are old technologies, literature and all sorts of odd vintage goodness. So if you find something that's too bizarre not to share, make sure to hit him up!

Got wisdom to pour?
