Artist Creates Spooky People Pot Pies Inspired By Sweeney Todd

Published 2 years ago

Ashley Newman, a horror Halloween artist has been making spooky “people pot pies” since 2013. In a note to DeMilked, she said that she was inspired mostly by Sweeney Todd (the victorian barber who turned his murdered victims into pies). Her gruesome pies are made of skin-toned latex stretched over a foam base, and they are inedible.

The artist revealed, “My creative process involves making a lot of mistakes and either learning from them or creating directly from them. I often get lost in the journey of trying to figure out a new issue whether it be how to sculpt something or paint it or repair it.”

Check out some of her fascinating works in the gallery below.
