20+ Thought-Provoking Comics By Guada That Perfectly Illustrate The Things We Rarely Say Out Loud

Published 6 years ago

Venezuelan artist Maria Guadarrama has created beautiful comic series called The Unspoken Truth. These illustrations creatively portray feelings and situations everyone has been through in their life such as heartbreaks and solitude. In her work, the artist encourages to choose happiness and embraces positivity.

“I think the kind of people who enjoy my comics are the ones who like to take a look inside of them and the origin of their feelings,” Maria told Bored Panda. “Introspective and sensitive people, people who are in love.”

Being a full-time graphic designer Maria works on her illustrations in the evenings after work, she says that drawing has been her passion since childhood and that she gets inspired by her daily surroundings. Currently, Maria lives in Santiago, Chile but she feels a deep sadness about the way things have gone in her homeland. Before she moved out, Maria worked for one of the most important newspapers in Venezuela and, unfortunately, the owners of the newspaper were extremely strict on what she can and can’t draw. “I couldn’t draw about politics or migration or economy.”

Maria also takes time to explain people the current problematic situation of Venezuela, you can read her powerful comic portraying her thoughts here.
