This Australian Mom Creates Funny Relationship Comics And They’re Spot On (20 Pics)

Published 4 years ago

Jessica Rae is an Australian mother who has been creating the hilarious “Doodley Squat” comics for the past 10 years. The topics of her comics include relationships, pets, and life in general, and they’re just as funny as they are hilarious.

In a recent interview with Bored Panda, the artist said she came up with the idea for creating comics after noticing that her Facebook feed was pretty text-heavy. She downloaded a kids’ drawing app to illustrate some things that happened in her daily life and thus her journey to creating comics began. “I first drew a spider that crawled on my arm while I was watching TV and while the drawing was awful, my friends got a laugh out of it so I kept doing them and eventually started making panel comics,” says the artist.

Jessica says that by creating her comics, she just wants to get a good laugh out of her readers. “I don’t really like arguing with people so I try not to make anything political or controversial,” says the artist.

Aušrys Uptas

One day, this guy just kind of figured - "I spend most of my time on the internet anyway, why not turn it into a profession?" - and he did! Now he not only gets to browse the latest cat videos and fresh memes every day but also shares them with people all over the world, making sure they stay up to date with everything that's trending on the web. Some things that always pique his interest are old technologies, literature and all sorts of odd vintage goodness. So if you find something that's too bizarre not to share, make sure to hit him up!

Got wisdom to pour?
