Just recently we've covered the story of Turkish tattoo artist Alican Gorgu (aka PigmentNinja) who has quit his boring office job to pursue a career as a tattoo artist. And only months later there is an exciting update on the direction he chose to follow. Alican has used a simplistic style he calls "Retro Minimal" to transport precious childhood memories from the photo album into a new permanent home - the skin. The results are sleek interpretations of a memory, with a bit of detail lost in time, yet with the key components left intact and still clearly visible and vivid.
