25 Times Employees Risked Limbs And Lives By Ignoring Safety Precautions

Published 4 hours ago

Over the years, we’ve significantly improved our workplace safety measures. With increased awareness, people now take greater care to reduce office hazards. Yet, despite this progress, some individuals, who have apparently never watched Final Destination, persist in risky behaviour that challenges the importance of workplace safety.

The gallery below features a few rather harrowing examples found on the subreddit OSHA. The images feature reckless makeshift devices, risky manoeuvres, and dangerously balanced climbing equipment. These photos not only reveal a cavalier approach to safety but also underscore the need for continued training in injury prevention.

Even the guy in front with the blower knows they’re wrong.
The worst part about it.. the white hat had a “safety first” sticky on his hat. I’ve done lots of utility safety training over my years and I can safely say that’s been on slides I’ve usually cringed at the end of.
I’d say this crew deserves dummies of the day.

Shanilou Perera

Shanilou has always loved reading and learning about the world we live in. While she enjoys fictional books and stories just as much, since childhood she was especially fascinated by encyclopaedias and strangely enough, self-help books. As a kid, she spent most of her time consuming as much knowledge as she could get her hands on and could always be found at the library. Now, she still enjoys finding out about all the amazing things that surround us in our day-to-day lives and is blessed to be able to write about them to share with the whole world as a profession.

Got wisdom to pour?
