I only know of the naval war during the great war. The naval war during World War II was one of the deadliest conflicts in history. Battles at sea took place in every corner of the planet and involved huge flotillas and small groups of ships. The Allies and the Axis fought for control of the sea lanes and delivery of resources such as oil and food. The war at sea was a key factor in the outcome of the war, and Allied victory was due in part to their superiority at sea. Nevertheless, the fighting at sea was dangerous and horrific, with hundreds of thousands of men losing their lives in this bloody conflict.
