Who said tire shop employees do nothing more than change tires and overtighten lug nuts all day? Certainly not Imgur user BonusSatis who just so happens to work at a tire shop, and has recently shared a collection of all the weird and funny things he’s spotted while on the job.
In a recent interview with Bored Panda, the man gave some advice to people who are looking to buy new tires. He said that when it comes to buying tires, you get what you pay for, so you should always invest a little more into the only thing that separates you from the ground. “There can be many differences between cheap and expensive tires, including durability, handling, braking distance, comfort, and noise,” explained BonusSatis.

The man said that people shouldn’t go to the dealership if they want to learn more about tires. “Those places will pump up the price every time,” said BonusSatis. “Instead, bring the car by two different shops and have the tire mechanic explain what they see about the tire, [and don’t be afraid] to ask for details.”

BonusSatis also added that car owners should check their tire pressure every few months as having correct tire pressure can save drivers from a lot of trouble. “The tire mechanic should be doing a visual inspection during the air check and can spot any incorrect wear or problem areas,” explained the employee.
