Superman Toy Taped To Flying Drone Is More Fun Than Superman Movie

Published 9 years ago

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s a Superman doll taped to a Phantom 3 drone! This is exactly what Barry Craig did. Thinking of outdoing Man of Steel movie (probably), he flew it over Victoria park. Of course, the last son of Krypton doesn’t fly like a quad-rotor, but I think that can be forgiven given the cool circumstances.

Barry Craig is a “creative retoucher” with an apparent passion for drone/UAV photography. To explain the Superman’s shakiness in the video, this is what he wrote on reddit: “The camera on a Phantom is attached to a gimbal, which stabilizes the footage. The Superman figure is attached to the landing gear so it isn’t being stabilized, the shaking around is the movement in the body of the aircraft.”
