Mom Creates Inclusive Dolls So That Children With Medical Conditions Wouldn’t Feel Left Out

Published 3 years ago

After spending a hefty amount of time looking for a doll with hearing aids for her deaf daughter, British woman Clare Tawell realized there simply aren’t any inclusive toys on the market. This inspired her to create Bright Ears UK – a nonprofit organization where she creates inclusive dolls for kids with various medical conditions.

In an interview with Today, Clare said she became very disheartened when she couldn’t find the doll for her daughter and felt that society didn’t deem her important. Nowadays the woman creates the dolls herself on her free time and hopes that they will empower children as well as make them feel included.

Clare started Bright Ears UK back in 2017 and has so far sold over 2,000 of her dolls. The woman hopes that in the future, children will be able to find these inclusive dolls in stores next to regular ones so they wouldn’t feel like they’re different.

One day, this guy just kind of figured - "I spend most of my time on the internet anyway, why not turn it into a profession?" - and he did! Now he not only gets to browse the latest cat videos and fresh memes every day but also shares them with people all over the world, making sure they stay up to date with everything that's trending on the web. Some things that always pique his interest are old technologies, literature and all sorts of odd vintage goodness. So if you find something that's too bizarre not to share, make sure to hit him up!

Got wisdom to pour?
