40 Timeless “Pictures Of Humanity” That Are Full Of Raw Emotion

There are some pictures that seem to tell a story so well that they leave an indelible mark on us. These photographs of people long gone from the world still retain their iconic status as they give us an unfiltered glimpse into mankind’s history. 

The “Pictures of Humanity” Instagram page collects and shares emotional images that succinctly tell the story of important events from around the world in quite a moving manner. Much like the image of the sailor dipping a nurse into a jubilant kiss at the end of WWII, the following images found on the page capture emotional moments in such a way that even many years later, we can still feel everything that the subjects likely felt at the time.

Shanilou Perera

Shanilou has always loved reading and learning about the world we live in. While she enjoys fictional books and stories just as much, since childhood she was especially fascinated by encyclopaedias and strangely enough, self-help books. As a kid, she spent most of her time consuming as much knowledge as she could get her hands on and could always be found at the library.
