THE PIKKPACK LEATHER LACE-UP SANDAL KIT

Published 8 years ago

The new flat-packed, leather lace-up sandal that you can customize from lace to sole.

The leather lace-up sandal is the newest member to the Pikkpack family. Made of buttery soft leather, with ultra-feminine cross straps and a durable rubber sole, the new leather lace-up sandal is designed for ultimate comfort and easy fit. It has the same ethics as the original Pikkpack slip-on and is created for the brave and confident women who are inspired by bringing their own designs to life with the DIY technique that is so distinctively Pikkpack.

With its bohemian vibe and natural feel, the new Pikkpack sandal offers a similar yet more feminine take on the slip-on you already know and love: customizable from lace to sole, the flat-packed and ethically made Pikkpack sandal appeals to not only chic city dwellers but also to conscious consumers. All Pikkpack products come in individually designed, hand-printed DIY kits. The new Pikkpack sandals are hand-sewn locally and provide an opportunity for local expert craftsmen and women who take pride in elevating Hungary’s shoemaking traditions.

The colorful editorial was made by Pikkpack’s favorite Hungarian photographer Eva Szombat, whose magnificent work has recently been featured on VICE.

Pikkpack was started by designer Sara Gulyas who turned her thesis project into a burgeoning fashion startup after a successful crowdfunding campaign. Sara’s initial inspiration came from the traditional Hungarian shoe called bocskor – a single piece of leather stitched together. By combining a fun DIY experience and traditional shoemaking techniques, Pikkpack lets you playfully create your own hip and trendsetting urban footwear. (Price: 89USD)
